FlowSmart Hot Water Circulator
Description

FlowSmart provides any hot water outlets that are distant (more than 12m) from a cylinder with almost instant hot water with an energy efficient, low cost and easy to install solution.  This enables a single hot water cylinder to serve outlets that would usually be too far away and that may otherwise require a second water heater.

Optional specifications:

  • PIR movement sensor/s for very low use rooms that only occasionally need hot water, such as a guest bathroom
  • Controller only option can be used to improve the efficiency with thermostatic control of any ring main system in residential and commercial buildings

Scope of Use
  • The system can be used on any domestic hot water system in a home or commercial building
  • Ideal for projects where a single hot water cylinder needs serve outlets that would usually be too far away and that may otherwise require a second water heater.
  • Optional PIR movement sensor/s for very low use rooms that only occasionally need hot water, such as a guest bathroom
Limitations on Use
  • The pipework loop to the remote outlet/s and the cylinder must come off the cylinder before the tempering valve to meet Building Code requirements
  • A local tempering valve/s is required above or at the point of use to temper the water down to 55°C to meet Building Code.
  • One controller and pump can circulate water through one pipe loop, all outlets served need to be on this pipe loop. A second pipe loop in an opposite direction can be added but this requires a complete second FlowSmart system.
