30 minute Fire Rated Timber Window
Description

The I-30-SW is NZFD’s interior 30 minute fire-rated window unit in a timber frame. The window achieves the -/30/30 rating, which means the system will maintain its integrity and insulating qualities in a fire.

Available in a wide range of pane combinations, the window can be either a: single window, door sidelight, door overlight, glazed internal partition.

Mullions and transoms are required for large glazed areas.

  • 45 mm timber jambs.
  • No limit to overall width, multiple units joined.
  • Jamb material is radiata pine for 30 minute (hardwood timber can be used if specified)
  • Recommended optional mid rail — consider the manifestation needs for safety purposes.
  • 15mm Schott fire resistant laminate glass (Grade A safety)
  • Superior optical clarity in Schott glass
Scope of Use
  • For use within fire rated walls where window openings are required
  • No limit to overall width, multiple units joined.
  • Recommended optional mid rail — consider the manifestation needs for safety purposes
Limitations on Use
  • Max overall combined height 6000mm
  • 45mm jamb profile fixed to NZFD Firer rated door — note the door jamb needs to be specified as 45mm
  • Jamb material is radiata pine for 30 minute (hardwood timber can be used if specified)
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • NZFD Fire rated windows resistant glass complies with NZBC B2 and F2.
  • Specifically complies with Acceptable solution C/AS2 Part 4: Control of fire and smoke spread
