The Seamless Flooring System for Healthcare Wet Rooms provides a specification solution for disabled access wet rooms such as hospital and healthcare bathrooms, and is suitable for sheet vinyl over concrete. The system incorporates waterproofing membrane as a second line of defence against leaks. This increases the longevity of installation and helps to future-proof against damage caused by breaks and seepage.
The Seamless system has been created by Gilt Edge for vinyl applications. It is based on the BRANZ appraised Flexi-Seal system for ceramic tiles and incorporates their waterproofing membrane (RLA Flexi-Seal PUD) and primer (RLA Universal Primer). The waterproof membrane applicator supplies a Flexi-Seal PUD licensed applicator producer statement to verify the systems meets Clause E3 Internal Moisture and includes a 15 year warranty.
The system includes a comprehensive build-up for concrete floors including the special screed applications required to create falls to waste water outlets in concrete subfloors — from primers, bulk fill, mortar and waterproofing, right through to the adhesive for vinyl application.
Gilt Edge Architectural Healthcare Wet Rooms Systems, designed specifically for disabled subfloor 'Set Downs', have been adopted and used in ADHB and CMDHB projects by NZ architectural practices.
Gilt Edge Architectural has partner with Architects and Specifiers nationally, to deliver trusted technical advice, and Seamless Flooring Systems Specification development writing assistance.
