Description

The Apricus Apartment Solar Hot Water System is a project specific, complete solar hot water system for multi-residential buildings and apartments.  Delivering sustainable, low energy, environmentally friendly hot water for residents with a centralised system.  Gain high Greenstar and Homestar points for NZGBC assessments.

The Apricus System provides guaranteed hot water, whatever the weather, using back-up energy sources when required. This system is compact enough to fit on the smallest of roofs, delivering a sustainable solution for an increasing building type.

Apricus Solar Hot Water Systems significantly reduce the environmental impact, energy use and cost of domestic hot water, and can make a significant contribution to Homestar and Greenstar points (EHC-5 & ENE-1).

System includes:

Limitations on Use
  • Hot water system must be centralised with circulating ring main to all / majority of hot water outlets
  • Not suitable if the whole roof is sloped and facing south — flat roofs are used in the majority of apartment buildings so unlikely to be an issue
