New Multi Service Transit Box, Fire Plates and Testing Updates from Allproof

A substantial update has introduced some new products, including a newly designed multi service transit box and 50mm and 100mm Fire Plates, to complement Allproof's existing range. Plus they have added two years’ worth of new passive fire tests for plumbing and electrical services.

Allproof have published two years’ worth of new passive fire tests for plumbing and electrical services in the online / digital technical manuals. This substantial update has introduced some new products to complement Allproof's existing range. These products include an 200mm Fire Collar for large plumbing pipe systems, a Fire Plate 50mm and 100mm which have been tested to cover large voids in the floor slab in conjunction with a 50mm and 100mm Fire Collar for FWG positions in floor slabs. Additionally, a newly designed multi service transit box constructed from Stainless Steel called the Wallthrough, which caters to the multi service entry point into a Hotel Room or Apartment at the fire rated corridor wall. Allproof have recently undertaken an Acoustics Test on the Wallthrough so that the installation can be assessed for performance by an Acoustics engineering team when adopting the solution for a project.

These products utilise Allproof's advanced Intumescent formulation which provides a fast activating penetration closure for the various systems and services. The new testing encompasses the new devices as well as plumbing and electrical services utilising other Allproof collar types such as ALLFC, DIFC, CIFC etc, on the following substrates: concrete floor slabs, CLT floors and walls, plasterboard walls and ceilings and composite floors.

Continued research and development as well as exceeding existing fire test results through design or installation changes keeps Allproof Industries at the fore front of NZ Passive Fire Product Development and testing.

Allproof have recently reviewed and updated their existing passive fire work section and published a new work section on MasterSpec for the TBA Firefly range. This ensures that selecting and specifying Allproof supplied systems is accessible with excellent support available.

NZBC C/AS2 4.4 Fire Stopping: Allproof PFP products have been tested in accordance with Appendix C C5.1 for fire stopping. Detailed information on the tested prototypes is available in Allproof’s PFP literature to assist with the correct product selection and install details. When installed as per documentation, Allproof PFP products will provide an FRR consistent with the published results and therefore, if selected correctly, no less than the separating element.

The Fire Plate system is designed for use with a Cast-in Rocket fitting that forms a void on the underside of a flat slab substrate at either a 50 mm or 100 mm floor waste gully (FWG) location.

The Fire Plate system is intended for covering and fire-sealing voids formed on the underside of flat slab substrates when a Cast-in Rocket fitting is used at 50 mm or 100 mm floor waste gully (FWG) locations.

It is suitable for internal applications where a fire collar (ALLFC) will be installed over the void to achieve the required fire resistance rating (FRR). The design allows for positional adjustment to accommodate nearby building services.

Note: Must be installed in accordance with the tested prototype and the requirements of NZBC C/AS2 Clause 4.4.
