The pro clima HUB: Centre for Advanced Building Systems

The pro clima showroom

Located at the hub, the pro clima showroom features beautiful scale construction models of various building systems. The training facilities in the workshop space also provide visitors with the opportunity to learn directly from onsite staff. Building element mock-ups and training walls are a great way for designers and builders alike to familiarise themselves with weathertightness and airtightness systems in a controlled environment. “Come and make mistakes here, using our models and our samples, so you can achieve a great install more efficiently on site,” says HUB and Education Manager, Matthew Cutler-Welsh.

Coffee and conversation

The pro clima HUB has regular ‘Coffee Thursdays’ each week between 9am and 11am every Thursday morning. Drop in for a free coffee and ask the team about anything to do with weathertightness, airtightness or how to create a better building envelope. Outside of these times, feel free to make a time or just drop in and say hi. Architects and builders have already benefited from sending their clients or staff to the pro clima HUB to check out real-life examples of airtight construction, high-performance doors and windows, or to talk through some technical aspects of building science with pro clima's team.

Supporting the building industry

The purpose of the pro clima HUB is to support the building industry. Conveniently located in Penrose midway between the Auckland Airport and the CBD, this 'centre for advanced building systems' fulfils the need for a dedicated training centre where practical, hands-on training can take place alongside theoretical and technical leaning, all under one roof.
