Recent research shows that internal moisture and condensation in the roof space is a widespread and growing problems across New Zealand. Passive ventilation is a method of allowing continuous airflow into a building above the thermal envelope and minimises internal moisture from the roof cavity and prevents condensation and mould from forming. DriSpace systems combine high vapour permeable DriStud roof and wall underlays, with VENT passive ventilation products and Proctor technical membranes and allow buildings to achieve balanced airflow through both habitable and non-habitable areas. These products are engineered specifically for NZ weather conditions and comply with the NZBC.

DriStud W11 - Fully Synthetic Fire Retardant Premium White Faced Foil Insulation

DriStud W11 is a Fire Retardant, fully synthetic, vapour, water barrier and a light diffuser insulation product.

DriStud W11 has a premium white face to increase light diffusion and reflection. It is used to line walls and under roofs to give a clean white finish when installed with white facing down or inside.

Where DriStud W11 is used for new construction or in connection with a building consent the work should be undertaken or supervised by a Licensed Building Practioner (LBP).

DriStud W11 has been tested to AS/NZS 4200:2017 and meets all the requirements of the NZBC:

F2 Hazardous Building Materials F2.3.1.

Protor Passive Wraptite-SA is a self adhering airtight and vapour permeable membrane for wall and roof applications.

Proctor Passive Wraptite SA can be installed on new and existing buildings and it is suitable for roof and wall applications for residential, commercial and high rise buildings.

Proctor Passive Wraptite SA's high vapour permeable peel and stick products used full coverage in pitched roofs and walls allows excellent drying capacity for assemblies wet during construction and from typical in service leaks over the life-time of the building.

Proctor Passive Wraptite SA can be installed over rigid air barrier, replacing tape and flexible underlay. It offers minimal mechanical fixings and provide greater integrity of installation and system.

ProctorWrap Rainscreen IT

ProctorWrap Rainscreen with Integrated Tape (RS-IT) is a two layer membrane consisting of a spun bonded polyester layer with a unique functional coating that offers improved resistance against UV and high temperatures up to 120°C.

ProctorWrap RS-IT is suitable for installation in vertical wall constructions behind ventilated facades with regularly spaced open joints no greater than 50mm wide accounting for no more than 30% of total surface area.

The rainscreen façade has to be ventilated according to the façade manufacturers installation instructions but a ventilation gap (min.40mm) is necessary. Long term UV resistance is dependent on the percentage of the cladding that is open, the size of openings, and the width of the cavity. Please contact DriStud Technical team at TCL Hunt Building Products to seek assurances on the suitability of ProctorWrap RS-IT for the particular application.
