ProctorWrap Rainscreen IT
Description

ProctorWrap Rainscreen with Integrated Tape (RS-IT) is a two layer membrane consisting of a spun bonded polyester layer with a unique functional coating that offers improved resistance against UV and high temperatures up to 120°C.

Developed primarily as a vapour permeable sarking for use in open joint rain screen applications, ProctorWrap RS-IT offers a combination of durability and high water holdout without compromising vapour permeance.

Key Features
  • 120 (4 months) UV exposure
  • High water resistance
  • Suitable for use behind in open joint cladding
  • High UV durability
  • High vapour permeable
  • Air tight
  • Supplied with factory applied integrated tape
Scope of Use

ProctorWrap RS-IT is suitable for installation in vertical wall constructions behind ventilated facades with regularly spaced open joints no greater than 50mm wide accounting for no more than 30% of total surface area.

The rainscreen façade has to be ventilated according to the façade manufacturers installation instructions but a ventilation gap (min.40mm) is necessary. Long term UV resistance is dependent on the percentage of the cladding that is open, the size of openings, and the width of the cavity. Please contact DriStud Technical team at TCL Hunt Building Products to seek assurances on the suitability of ProctorWrap RS-IT for the particular application.

Limitations on Use
  • Although ProctorWrap RS-IT can be used as temporary protection during construction, it can not be used as a primary waterproofing membrane.
  • The product may be damaged by careless handling, high winds or vandalism, and should not be left uncovered for longer than is absolutely necessary.
  • Any damaged areas should be replaced before completion
  • To ensure maximum long term UV durability, ensure that ProctorWrap RS-IT is covered up by the primary cladding material as soon as possible, and not left exposed to UV for longer than 4 months.
