The owners of a heritage-listed Bondi apartment wanted to improve layout efficiency, functionality, and access to natural light; however, existing plumbing infrastructure restricted the ability to relocate wet areas.

Architects Arqilux were engaged to reimagine the layout, including converting an underutilised sunroom/deck area into a new ensuite bathroom and master bedroom extension. With strict heritage guidelines in place, conventional plumbing solutions would have required invasive works that risked compromising the integrity of the original apartment.

To address this, a Sanipack Pro was installed to manage wastewater from the new bathroom layout, enabling discharge into existing sewer connections without structural modification or disruption to the building fabric.

This approach allowed the ensuite to be introduced within a reconfigured floorplan, while preserving the heritage character of the original structure.
