With growing interest and awareness of the environmental footprint of buildings, Kingspan has invested in both ecospecifier global greentag certificates (GreenRate Level A) and also EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) for many of its products, providing independent certification of Kingspan’s insulated panels for use in Green Star and other rating schemes.

Compliance

For peace of mind for designers and consenting authorities, a number of Kingspan products are CodeMark certified by SAI Global, the highest level of product certification available in New Zealand. The products certified are: KS1000RW Trapezoidal Roof and Wall Panels, KS1000 Architectural Wall Panels and KS1000 Evolution Panelised Façade. The CodeMark certification (demonstrating compliance to the New Zealand Building Code, equivalent to an Acceptable Solution) along with an extensive range of details/options to choose from, makes design and compliance easy for designers.

Fire

Kingspan has subjected its panels to numerous fire test regimes for both local regulatory purposes and the insurance industry. The insurance industry fire tests are large scale tests performed by Factory Mutual (FM) Global and require annual audits and ongoing monitoring. A number of Kingspan insulated wall panels have achieved FM Global, Class 1 without height restriction, the highest possible rating achievable in the FM Global 4880 test, making them ‘insurer approved’ panels.

The Kingspan KS1000RW Trapezoidal Roof and Wall Panel system products consist of Zincalume sheets that contain a PIR core.

The KS1000RW Trapezoidal Roof Panel is a through-fixed, trapezoidal profiled roof system which can be used for building applications with roof pitches of 4° or more after deflection. For lower pitches, please contact Kingspan.

The standard specification for KS1000RW Trapezoidal Wall Panels is suitable for both vertical or horizontal walls — alternative specification available including high humidity and low temp.
