Take Vynco’s eco-friendly lighting range. To help visualise its carbon savings here in Aotearoa... let’s talk kiwifruit (fitting, we know).

In just six months, Vynco’s Beach Batten, Glacier Batten and Oyster Ocean lights — made with PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled plastic) and bioplastics — have saved more than 1,000kg of carbon. That’s the carbon equivalent of nearly 12,000 kiwifruit!.

Plus, because they’re not made from virgin crude oil, they’ve saved 180 litres of the stuff!

“It’s such a good news story,” says Vynco boss Simon Vale. “These lights look good, function well AND help the planet, it’s a no-brainer when selecting against similar fittings made from traditional plastics.”

And that’s just the beginning.

Vynco’s Flush Boxes are making sustainability inroads too. Made from Post-Industrial Recycled Plastic (PIR), these are also manufactured right here in New Zealand — supporting local and reducing the carbon footprint.

In just six months those who’ve installed these have saved the planet nearly 1,400kg of carbon. That’s nearly 16,000 kiwifruit! They’ve also saved more than 2,000 litres in crude oil.
