As New Zealand’s cities grow, apartment and high-density housing developments are becoming a bigger part of our residential landscape.
That shift is reshaping the way homes are designed, with every square metre and every cavity space working harder for its place.
The result? Products that save space without compromising performance are increasingly valuable.
Enter Vynco’s slimline Lopez range.
“We designed Lopez to be the perfect downlight,” says Vynco managing director Simon Vale. “That meant getting the specifications, compliance and price point right, while also making installation simple. We even reduced unnecessary packaging waste.”
Shrinking the profile without compromising performance was no easy feat.
“As a testament to that, I still have an original Lopez sample from the first shipment in 2023 sitting in a 40-degree chamber, surrounded by insulation, that’s been running non-stop without issue,” says Vynco Product Development Manager Ben Soppit. “A huge amount of engineering went into reducing the size of the fitting while maintaining performance and keeping heat levels low.”
And the low-profile Lopez range is flush with options.
With three selectable colour temperatures and the ability to dim, lighting can be tailored to suit the space and intended use.
A warm, welcoming glow for living and entertaining areas? Easy.
Brighter task lighting for kitchens, studies and workspaces? Lopez has that covered too.
Better still, the downlights are IC-F and IC-4 rated, meaning they can be safely installed alongside ceiling insulation.
Whether it’s an apartment development, townhouse project or compact residential build, Vynco’s Lopez downlight range makes lighting easy.
