The interior designer liked the clean glazing lines of the CS NewYorker and wanted to incorporate full-height doors wherever possible throughout the offices and meeting rooms.

To make the transition from a door that normally suits a cavity slider, CS For Doors developed a top-hung track system recessed into the gridded ceiling. A pelmet system was also required, which clipped onto the side of the track, providing a leg for the ceiling tile to sit on. The resulting detail allows the top of the door to disappear into the ceiling, yet access for adjustment or servicing is still possible through machined access slots in the pelmet (normally covered by ceiling tiles).

To ensure the look was consistent throughout, CS also provided hinged and cavity sliding doors, all to the same specification.
