CS EasyOpen WC Cavity Slider

The CS EasyOpen WC system was initially developed to provide easy access to toilets for the disabled. Its popularity has grown such that it is now the benchmark for disabled accessways in commercial buildings and public spaces.

By specifying the EasyOpen WC with a door and disabled access 'code compliant' CL100 LaviLock or CL400 ADA (handle and lock), there is no need to have a separate toilet for disabled patrons. One toilet can effectively suffice for everyone, saving on space, fittings, and cleaning and servicing costs.

These units not only make specifying easy, but also save on site labour because they come with an institutional paint quality door (minimum 910mm wide) and the handle cutout pre-machined.

Scope of Use
  • CS Cavity Sliders units have been appraised for use with sliding doors in internal locations in residential, commercial and light industrial buildings
  • Fully compliant for disabled access when specified with a 910mm wide door and CL100 LaviLock or CL400 ADA privacy hardware
Limitations on Use
  • Easyopen units require a minimum door width of 910 mm.

  • CS Cavity Sliders are suitable for use in single detached dwellings (SH purpose groups). In all other purpose groups, CS Cavity Sliders are not permitted within or for providing access to exit-ways.

CL400 ADA Magnetic:  To comply with NZS4121:2001 the offset handle option must be used. The centre of the handle should be positioned between 900mm and 1200mm (1000mm optimal) above finished floor level. The door needs to be at least 910mm wide to allow minimum clear walk through of 760mm. There must be a 45mm clear space from edge of pull handle to the nearest door jamb when the door is both fully open and completely closed. A flat closing jamb is recommended or CS can supply a recessed closing jamb to suit. The supplied ‘Down to Lock’ label must be positioned as close as possible to the handle. Consult local standards for guidelines relating to the specific project.
