Description

The CS NewYorker is a stylish pre-finished door frame that can be glazed using a wide range of materials, glass being the most popular. The perimeter frame has no visible screws or fastenings, while horizontal or vertical rails (if required) have been purpose designed to maintain overall good looks without compromising strength or reliability. Patent pending.

Most standard mortice locks can be fitted to the front stile, and the lock can be factory-fitted. A clip-in front clashing sits neatly above and below the mortice face plate covering the fixings. The CS NewYorker is 38mm thick and has been purpose designed to work in conjunction with CS Cavity Sliders and CS Pre-Hung Jamb systems for a complete solution.

Scope of Use

CS Door Leaves are suitable for use in sliding, pivot or hinged applications in residential, commercial and light industrial buildings
Handles: A variety of handles can be factory fitted including a custom designed recessed leading edge pull
The CS NewYorker is 38mm thick, and has been purpose designed to work in conjunction with CS Cavity Sliders and CS Pre-Hung Jamb systems for a complete solution

Limitations on Use

Sizing (sliding):

Door leaves may be any size up to up to 2.4m high and 2.0m wide
Higher and wider doors may be specified in consultation with CS For Doors

Sizing (hinged):

Door leaves may be any size up to 3.0m high and 1.2m wide
Higher and wider doors may be specified in consultation with CS For Doors

Statement of Building Code Compliance

CS Cavity Sliders will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Clause B1 Structure: Performance B1.3.1, B1.3.2 and B1.3.4. CS Cavity Sliders meet the requirements for loads arising from self-weight, earthquake, wind and impact [i.e. B1.3.3 [a], [f], [h] and [j]].
Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1 [a], not less than 50 years, [b], 15 years and [c], 5 years. CS Cavity Sliders meet these requirements.
Clause F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Performance F2.3.1. CS Cavity Sliders meet this requirement and will not present a health hazard to people.
