Advance Entrance Mats Used At New Volvo Showroom

The design of the new Volvo showroom in Greenlane reflects the qualities of design and safety that the car company is known for.

Ensuring that this environment remains clean and safe is a correctly specified system of Entrance Matting from Advance Flooring. Their ReTread Entrance Mats have been used outside the building. This attractive aluminium strip mat, featuring a recycled rubber infill strip, reduces the amount of dirt, grit and leaves entering the building whilst knocking the initial moisture off visitors' shoes. Critically though, the inserts do not absorb the water, which means they avoid becoming water traps.

The proven system of CoralTread has been used inside the showroom. With its highly water absorbent inserts, the CoralTread ensures that by the time people move on to the smooth ceramic tile floor, the possibility of slip and fall accidents has been minimised. At the same time it traps moisture and dirt in the entrance mats, keeping the rest of the showroom looking great.

People entering a building do not often stop and wipe their feet, so it's important that there are enough contacts between the entry matting and the soles of shoes to minimise the amount of dirt carried into the building. The New Zealand Building Code's recommendation is that a mat should have a minimum dimension of 1.8m from front to back, which allows for two contacts of each foot (see Acceptable Solution D1/AS1 Access Routes, Building Industry Authority).

Advance Flooring offers a comprehensive selection of entrance matting, and critically these systems have been designed and made in New Zealand for the country's unique weather conditions. All systems are backed by their 100 per cent customer satisfaction guarantee and comply with all fire standard requirements.
