JSC Thermally Modified Timber
Description

JSC TMT® is a thermally modified timber range suitable for cladding, panelling, battens, and other interior and exterior applications. Modified using only heat and steam, this non-toxic timber solution offers enhanced durability, stability, and long-term performance in a wide range of New Zealand conditions.

The range includes TMT Taiga, TMT Amba, and TMT Taxon, each offering distinct tones and grain characteristics to suit a variety of architectural styles.

Key Features
  • Thermally modified using heat and steam only – no chemicals or adhesives
  • Exceptional dimensional stability due to reduced moisture absorption and modified cell structure. Able to accept darker coatings with significant reduction in dimensional movement.
  • Durability - The TMT process dramatically reduces the occurrence of fungal decay by removing the food source and reducing the equilibrium moisture content of the timber.
  • Available in feature and clear grades with dressed, wire-brushed or bandsawn finishes
  • Accepts oil and water-based coatings very well including darker tones (Blacks)
  • Non-toxic and low-emission – suitable for interior use. Premium quality that is responsibly sourced. There is no presence or release of added toxic substances during the building life.
  • Certified under JSC Cladding Systems (CodeMark)
  • Certified Premium Quality - Truly natural product with certified quality; all JSC TMT® products are sourced from reliable and world-renowned suppliers that are leaders in the timber thermal modification process.
  • Proven performance in demanding environmental conditions
  • Available in three product options — Taiga, Amba, and Taxon — to suit a wide range of design preferences
