Emerging Skylight Trends for Kitchens

In recent years there has been a big move away from viewing skylights simply as a means to an end. That is, a change from viewing skylights as singular entities used simply for lighting purposes only. Rather, we’re seeing professionals and homeowners adopt the approach of using multiple skylights banked together to create a statement piece.

Each kitchen layout is different, but by coupling the right size and number of skylights, designers can create a unique feature to suit. One favourite is a bank of skylight over an island bench; skylights here adds a sense of height and space while enhancing the feel of luxury (of what is arguable the home's most utilised meeting spot).

More and more homes are now being built with an architectural skylight feature to create a point of difference; both in visual impact and as a way of standing out from every other home with a luxury kitchen.
