On a recent community project in Merrivale, Tauranga, EQUITONE panels were engraved with traditional motifs developed in collaboration with local iwi, allowing whakapapa, narrative and identity to be carved directly into the fabric of the building. Rather than applied artwork, the façade itself became a permanent expression of place, of storytelling — catching light, casting shadow and revealing new layers as the day unfolds.
