Achieve an STC Rating Up to 67 with the INTEGRA Central Barrier Intertenancy System

And as a result, these new, higher density projects require solutions that support these changes in building design all the while exceeding minimum building code requirements, and remaining cost effective not only in terms of material supply but also in installation efficiency and labour.

Resene Construction Systems' INTEGRA Central Barrier Intertenancy Walling System is a high performance suite of products providing resistance to horizontal fire and acoustic separation between adjacent tenancies in the same building. The system is comprised of INTEGRA lightweight concrete panels, mortar, acoustic brackets and screws that when stood provides a solid and durable intertenancy solution for medium and high density housing developments.

Excellent fire and acoustic performance

The INTEGRA central barrier intertenancy wall system has been independently tested by BRANZ in terms of its fire performance with full scale fire testing and has achieved a minimum two hour fire rating (FRR 120/120/120) with ease.

Another critical element is its acoustic performance. Testing done at Auckland University has proven that this system achieves a minimum STC rating of 64 and can achieve a rating of up to 67. That far exceeds the minimum requirements of the building code, which is an STC rating of 55.

Resene Construction Systems INTEGRA Intertenancy Systems is for load bearing walls where a FRR is required on a wall.

Suitable for:

Intertenancy walls up to 12m in height
Maximum individual floor/ceiling height meets NZS 3604
For residential construction
Where a Fire Resistance Rating up to 120/120/120 is required
Where a minimum STC of at least 55 is required
Maximum loading of 4.5kN/Stud is required
As a solution to meet AS1530.4-2005

Resene Construction Systems INTEGRA Intertenancy Systems has been carefully designed to New Zealand conditions and independently tested and assessed to ensure it meets the performance criteria as outlined in NZBC:

B1 — Structure: The design and specification for timber framing must be in accordance with the performance requirements of NZBC B1. Framing used in accordance with NZS3604:2011 is compliant in accordance with NZBC B1 and is the best choice to use when using a Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System. Where the framing falls outside the requirements of NZS3604:2011 it is recommend that an engineer is engaged to ensure that structural compliance is met.
B2 — Durability: Under normal conditions of internal use, the Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System will achieve a service life in excess of 50 years and satisfy the requirements of NZBC B2.
C1-C6 — Protection from Fire: The Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System can be used to provide passive fire protection in accordance with the requirement of NZBC C1-C6 – Protection from Fire. The Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System has been peer reviewed and meets the provisions of NZBC C1-C6 when kept within the scope as outlined in Section 5 Scope of use for the Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System.
F2 — Hazardous Building Materials: Under normal conditions of internal use, the Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System does not constitute a health hazard and meets the provisions of the NZBC Clause F2.
G6 — Airborne and Impact Sound: The Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System provides airborne noise control ratings that exceed the minimum requirements of NZBC Clause G6 — Airborne and Impact Sound. The Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System has been peer reviewed and meets the provisions of NZBC G6 when kept within the scope 5 Scope of use for the Resene Construction Systems Intertenancy System.
