ColourPanel is a unique product to Plymasters, designed to address the limitations of standard MDF by featuring colour through the full thickness. This makes it suitable for applications such as acoustic panels, routed designs, and projects where exposed edges are part of the design — removing the need for edge tape. ColourPanel MDF comes in 8 colours for engaging designs from residential spaces to school and commercial fit outs.

Manufactured using low-emission, eco-conscious materials, ColourPanel is intended for interior use in areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, play spaces, furniture, and commercial fit-outs. Panels are supplied unfinished, allowing for a gloss, satin or matte finish to be applied for the clients’ desired look.

With high density and colour throughout, ColourPanel MDF is ideal for CNC routing, allowing for highly detailed designs. Routed designs can be further developed by adding a laminate or veneer to the ColourPanel, creating a visually engaging, layered design when the laminate is routed into revealing the coloured MDF panel beneath.

Plymasters ColourPanel MDF is a smart choice for perforation for sound absorption solutions, with the colour throughout creating an aesthetically pleasing look. The panel can be bonded to an acoustic felt for increased sound absorption performance. Micro perforation is also possible on ColourPanel MDF.

High density and sturdy, ColourPanel MDF allows for colourful, exposed edge furniture. The range of colours offer engaging solutions for kitset furniture and children's play spaces. ColourPanel MDF is available in 8mm for feature walls and ceiling linings and 19mm for furniture, cabinetry and commercial fit outs. The MDF texture has a visually interesting look, adding depth and character to designs. 

ColourPanel MDF has an E0 Emissions rating, manufactured using a process where no formaldehyde resin is added. The colouration of the panels is achieved using natural dyes. Ticking off sought-after eco-friendly design components, making it ideal for interior spaces.

The panels have high moisture resistance which results in high dimensional stability. Due to its high moisture resistance, it is suitable for various applications in humid environments.
