Christchurch Mansion Enclosed with Masons

When Simon from Simon Campbell Construction was undertaking the build of an executive home on Drayton Drive in Mt Pleasant, Christchurch, he knew the use of high performing products was of the essence.

Enclosure

The Drayton Drive home was wrapped in Masons Building Wrap and the joinery openings flashed with Masons 40 Below window flashing tape. When asked why he chose Masons products for the enclosure Simon's response was, "40 Below sticks even in the cold Christchurch winter conditions, without having to waste time with heat guns or primer sprays. 40 Below was recommended to me by other builders after I had other tapes failing on site by not sticking. The tape performed exceptional well and superseded my bituminous tape by 100%."

Block Veneer

Masons BrickTies were also used on this home to secure the block veneer to the frame. Masons Brick Ties are rated Heavy Duty Earthquake as per AS/NZS 2699 1:200. They are the only CodeMark certified brick ties on the NZ market.

Passed NZS3604 Building Wind Zones up to and including ‘Extra High’
Passes nail sealability to ASTM 1970-01 section 7.9
New smooth white facer tape also passes screw sealability to AAMA 711-13
Suitable as a single layer application over a timber frame
Extremely thin only 0.2mm, allows for easier fitting of windows and doors

40 Below is tested and approved for sealing the joints on Rigid barriers. Check for product compatibility with your Rigid Air Barrier supplier before installation.

Air resistance to ISO 6536/5-1986 based on BS6538-3
Shrinkage in accordance with AS/NZS 4201.3
pH of extract in accordance with AS/NZS 1301.421s
Fire retardant in accordance with AS1530 Part 2 Flammability.
