Lockwood Disabled Turnknob Upgraded

ASSA ABLOY NZ is pleased to announce the upgrade of the disabled turn, used with Lockwood Artefact and Brass Door Furniture.

This upgrade has been made in accordance with changes to Part 1: General requirements for access – new building work, of the Australian Standard AS1428.1 - Design for access and mobility; which requires lever handles of turn knobs for disabled persons to be a minimum of 45mm in length.

To ensure compliance, our existing part numbers remain the same, but the product has been updated to the new tear drop design shown.

The new design fully conforms to the requirements of the standard and is available effective immediately.
