Working with the architect, HomePlus came up with some unique solutions to problem areas in these buildings. Security was needed for a couple of awkward situations and some out of the box thinking saw standard security products made into custom solutions that work perfectly.
The architect for this popular café approached Murray from HomePlus Tauranga for help with securing this outdoor seating area. Top priority was securing the area outside of opening hours, but protection from the wind in the exposed area was also important.
Murray designed and fitted an adaptable set of Clearguard security screens at each end of the outdoor area. Manufactured from perforated aluminium sheets fitted in robust frames, these security screens are permanently fixed to structural posts using heavy duty fence post and base plates. Fitted with strong, commercial hinges for easy movement, the flexible screens are fixed open or closed with robust drop bolts. Finished in a satin black powder coat colour matching the building finish, the screens are not only stylish, but have proven to be secure everyday.
Another custom solution was the security screens used to secure alcohol outside of opening hours, in the main bar of a Christchurch hotel. The screens needed to be easy to remove and refit, lockable and stylish. Amplimesh security screen was chosen, as the grille finish is a strong visual deterrent to potential thieves. Powder coated in a colour to match the bar furniture, the inner screen edges overlap to fix screens in place and keyed sliding locks secure the screens to the outer walls.
