Hebel Offers Innovative Cladding and Flooring Solutions

CSR Hebel recognises that providing assurance and demonstrating that performance requirements will be met or exceeded are key assertions to be made when delivering a product to market. When the product is a cladding or involves life or property safety, as is the case with fire rated products, then these assertions become even more critical to those selecting or specifying solutions.

For CSR Hebel, this understanding was a defining factor in their choice to use CodeMark certification when providing systems to market in NZ.

Hebel provides innovative products that have insulation, acoustic and fire resistant properties. These properties are utilised within the Hebel PowerPanel and Hebel PowerFloor systems, which are high-performance, steel-reinforced, lightweight AAC panels attached to the building frame.

As strong supporters of the Product Certification scheme both in NZ and Australia, CSR Hebel currently holds six CodeMark certificates. In NZ their CodeMark certified systems are Hebel PowerPanel50 External Wall System, Hebel PowerPanelXL External Wall System and Hebel PowerFloor.

Hebel PowerFloor panel system is a high-performance lightweight AAC flooring system.

Hebel PowerFloor systems are joist floor solutions for residential, low rise multi-residential, commercial and industrial construction.

The floor applications consist of a Hebel PowerFloor panel connected to a steel or timber joist system forming a platform floor.

CSR Hebel PowerFloor, if designed, used, installed & maintained in accordance with the scope of the CodeMark Certificate, will meet the following provisions of the NZBC:

Clause B1 Structure — B1.3.1; B1.3.2; B1.3.3(a, b, f, i, j, m); and B1.3.4.
Clause B2 Durability — B2.3.1(a); and B2.3.2.
Clause C3 Fire affecting areas beyond the fire source — C3.4(a); C3.6.
Clause C4 Movement to place of safety — C4.3 (contributes to).
Clause C6 Structural Stability – C6.2 (contributes to).

Hebel PowerPanel50 External Wall panels are lightweight steel-reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) panels, these panels been designed thinner without compromising the structural integrity of the panel.

PowerPanel50 are for use as non-loadbearing external wall cladding system. It is designed to be installed on either timber or steel structural framing where domestic construction techniques are used for buildings less than or equal to 10m in height.
PowerPanel50 is lightweight steel-reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) panels mounted vertically on cavity battens, screw fixed to the structural framing.
The product is for use in Importance Level 1 and Importance Level 2 buildings up to and including three storeys high that are less than or equal to 10m in height and situated in wind zones up to and including Extra High as determined in NZS 3604:2011 – Timber-framed buildings and NASH Standard Part 2:2019 Light Steel Framed Buildings.
