PowerPanel XL 75mm External Wall System
Description

Hebel PowerPanel XL External panels for walls have been designed 20% lighter than standard PowerPanel without compromising the structural integrity of the panel.

Hebel PowerPanel XL External and Internal Walls for Houses & Low Rise Multi-Residential applications have been designed for homes built using either timber or steel framing including home extensions or re-cladding of existing homes.

The system consists of 75mm thick, steel-reinforced Hebel PowerPanelXL panels, fixed vertically to horizontal battens attached to the load-bearing frame.

Key Features
  • External wall panels are steel reinforced aerated concrete and are strong, solid and highly durable.
  • Steel reinforcing is specially coated to prevent corrosion and provides maximum durability.
  • PowerPanel XL panels are non-combustible with an FRL of 180/180/180.
  • Outstanding thermal and acoustic insulation qualities increase levels of comfort and save on energy heating and cooling costs.
  • Awarded the 'Good Environmental Choice Australia’ Label (Heb-2006).
  • Efficiently installed (2 people can install up to 150m2 within 3 days depending on site conditions).
Scope of Use
  • Only to be installed in accordance with the Design and Installation Guide (Hebel Design Guide May 2016).
  • For use in buildings within the scope limitations of NZS 3604:2011 and situated in wind zones up to and including Extra High as determined in NZS 3604:2011.
  • All joinery used in conjunction with this Design and Installation Guide must meet the requirements of NZS 4211:2008.
  • For use as an external wall cladding on buildings where the wall face concerned has a building envelope risk matrix score of less than 20 as determined using NZBC E2/AS1 section 3.
Limitations on Use

For residential buildings to 3 storeys; commercial to 7 metres.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

CSR Hebel PowerPanel XL, when installed in accordance with the Codemark Certificate (and conditions and limitations therein) will comply with the following New Zealand Building Code requirements:

  • Clause B1 Structure: B1.3.1, B1.3.2, B1.3.3.
  • Clause B2 Durability: B2.3.1(b), 2.3.2
  • Clause C Protection from Fire: C3.6, C3.7, C6.1, C6.2 & C6.4
  • Clause F2 Hazardous Building Materials: F2.3.1
  • Clause E2 External Moisture: E2.3.2, E2.3.3 & E2.3.5
  • Clause H1 Energy Efficiency: H1.3.1
