Ecoply Barrier pre-Cladding Lining Also Protection from Moisture

Ecoply Barrier is designed for use as a pre cladding lining for residential construction and acts as a secondary line of protection against moisture ingress into the building structure.

Ecoply Barrier is a 7mm thick structural plywood sheet which is sealed on the face and edges using an advanced polyester powder coating process for increased sheet durability and protection from moisture penetration.

Ecoply Barrier is manufactured from 100% sustainable plantation pine, carries an ultra low formaldehyde emission level (EO) and is available FSC certified upon request.

Available in 2400 and 2700x1200mm sheets, Ecoply Barrier offers the following construction advantages:

  • High structural bracing when installed as per Ecoply EP or SP bracing specifications

  • Temporary weather protection to the building envelope prior to cladding installation when installed according the specifications

  • Early structure close in (prior to cladding installation) for quicker internal construction

  • Sheets can be exposed to external weather for up to 90 days prior to cladding installation

Ecoply Barrier is suitable for use as rigid sheathing and air barrier in residential buildings within the scope of NZS3604. It has been independently tested by Scion Research to meet New Zealand Building Code rigid sheathing performance requirements as outlined in section 9.1.4 and table 23 of E2/ AS1.

Ecoply Barrier will be available for sale from your local building merchant early May 2010.
