Description

Triton Hygiene™ is a New Zealand made, 'soft' fibre ceiling panel with anti-microbial finish, designed to provide high sound absorption in hygiene sensitive areas. Triton Hygiene™ is available in a range of different acoustic options to suit individual environment requirements.

Manufactured from smooth anti-microbial coated Sonatex™ composite facer panel laminated to a 48 kg/m³ bio-soluble glass fibre absorber. Optional foil backed.

Key Features

Smooth anti-microbial facing is easy to wipe clean
Panel face is treated with an anti-microbial coating for high kill rate against common bacteria. Tested to Japanese Standard JIS Z 2801:2000, achieves 99.95% minimum over 24 hours for:
- Staphylococcus aureus
- Eschericia coli (Ecoli)
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Acinetobacter baumannii
- Serrratia marcescens
Broad range of panel options provides very good NRC sound absorption to help reduce back ground noise and reverberation, combined with CAC options to attenuate sound between areas.

Scope of Use

Triton Hygiene™ is ideal for cafes, restaurants, school food tech rooms, medical/dental centres and pharmaceutical areas for the control of background noise levels and reverberation times.

Limitations on Use

For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water
Installation shall not commence until the building is watertight and dry
Light fittings shall be independently supported
Backloading max. 1.5 kg/m², point loads shall be independently supported
Max 99% R/H at 45°C
Use hold down clips in areas for seismic or wind uplift
Not for air return plenums

B2 Durability – Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): Asona ceiling tiles with only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and AS/NZS 2785:2020.
C3 Fire – Clause C/AS2 4.12.1: Asona Triton Hygiene has a Fire Material Group Number 2-S by NZBC Building Product Specification Parts 8.5.4 or 8.5.5, tested in accordance with ISO 9705 or ISO 5660. (NCC BCA C1.10 clause 4, spec A2.4 clause 4. Group 2).
