Description

Triton 50HD™ is a made in New Zealand high sound absorbing ceiling panel that is designed to control unwanted noise reverberation and with a HD core for attenuation of plenum noise and room to room noise. Panels are available in standard and large sizes and in a wide range of decorative acoustic finishes, colours, wood prints and perforated laminate designs. Also available with a Sonatex Hygiene laminate facing. High NRC and CAC 35 for combined acoustic performance.

Scope of Use

Triton 50HD™ is an ideal retrofit acoustic panel for classrooms, offices, community halls when applied directly over plasterboard in large sheets or as a suspended grid and panel ceiling.

Limitations on Use

For interior use only, and not in direct contact with water.
Shall not commence until the building is water tight and dry
Light fittings shall be independently supported
Back Loading — Max. 1.5 kg/m², point loads shall be independently supported
Use hold down clips in areas of wind uplift
May be used for negative air return plenums however careful design and installation is required. Consult your HVAC or Mechanical Engineer prior to install.
Use Rondo Donn DXW T38 wide faced grid for large module panels (600mm x 2400/1200/1200mm)
Max 99% R/H at 45°C

B2 Durability – Clause B2.3.1 (c) (i): Asona ceiling tiles with only normal maintenance will have a minimum durability of at least 5 years when installed in accordance with; manufacturer’s installation requirements and AS/NZS 2785:2020.
C3 Fire – Clause C/AS2 4.12.1: Asona Triton 50HD has a Fire Material Group Number 1-S by NZBC Building Product Specification Parts 8.5.4 or 8.5.5, tested in accordance with ISO 9705 or ISO 5660. (NCC BCA C1.10 clause 4, spec A2.4 clause 4. Group 1)
