Rise Palette: Dulux Colour Forecast 2013

The Rise trend is a retreat from our chaotic lives. Calm, quiet, considered and always functional, it’s a design style that conveys composure and comfort. Influenced by the gentle folds and flat planes of origami, Rise consists of a swathe of neo-pastel shades that play with shadow, dimension and angular patterns.

Though seemingly minimalist, Rise is a style that can be reinterpreted to suit different spaces – from the most subdued soft pink of Dulux Punaromia Quarter to warm, pink-brown like Dulux Hopelands, to scoops of brighter gelato blues and greens, such as Dulux Warrington and Dulux Cooks Beach.

Rise was designed by Dulux in collaboration with Miriam Fanning, leading interior designer and director of Mim Design Studios in Australia. Says Fanning: “The Rise palette is a soft, calming and naturally aligned range. This beautiful palette encourages a ‘stop, breathe and kick off your shoes’ feel.”
