Having relied on Marshall Innovations' products for years, Gareth and his architectural designers, Dsigna Concepts chose Protecto Wall and Pro-Drain 8 when it came to the below ground tanking on Gareth's new family home.

ProtectoWall itself is a self-adhesive membrane with a tough polyester reinforcement with the ability to withstand puncture and severe stress to 425psi — great peace of mind for earthquakes and building movement. It is a peel and stick membrane that can be used on polystyrene, masonry and tilt slab as well as under slab as a Damp Proof Membrane, giving it a wider range of applications than alternative products.

Pro-Drain 8 is the protection and drainage board. An extremely durable, rot proof Polyethylene sheet which is impervious to root penetration. Its unique profile creates a neutral pressure zone between the foundation wall and subsoil. It is non-polluting and has huge compressive strength of 25 tonnes per square metre.

In addition to reliability, ProtectoWall tanking provides building benefits. The self-adhesive rolls and lightweight protection boards make installation easier and quicker.

"Once the membrane sheets are stuck on and detailed you can start straight away on installing Pro-Drain which is lightweight and easy to transport, explains Gareth. There is no waiting around for stuff to dry, you can start straight away with backfill which cuts down your timeframes drastically."

Throughout installation the Marshall Innovations team are always on hand provide support. Installation can either be carried out by their nationwide installer network or by builders that have been trained and certified by the Marshall team.
