Kingspan Kooltherm K10 Offers Lowest Thermal Transmittance

Kooltherm K10 offers twice the R value for thickness of glass wool and expanded polystyrene and is 50% higher than extruded polystyrene.

Along with its Class 1 fire performance under the NZBC, Kooltherm is highly resistant to water vapour (with over 96% closed cells) and offers moisture absorption of less than 2%. Further, with a surface compressive strength of 175kPa, Kooltherm is highly resistant to impact damage and won’t slump.

EnviroSpec certified, Kingspan Kooltherm is also ideal for GreenStar rated buildings, making Kooltherm the right choice for reducing energy and running costs and maximising useable internal space.

In an industry that requires a unique balance of science and art, Greystone Wines is a rising star. Situated in the Waipara Valley, the winery is subjected to a diverse range of environmental challenges. Greystone chose to employ Steve Inwood Builders to insulate its processing and barrel storage building with Kingspan Kooltherm insulation board.

Having the lowest thermal transmittance of any commercially available insulant, Kooltherm enables the team at Greystone Wines to concentrate on producing quality wines with full confidence in their surroundings.
