Furniture Design Highlights Versatility of Futurewood

Starex is a specialist manufacturer of furniture for early childhood education centres. This market requires careful consideration of the materials used for factors such as safety for use by adventurous little hands, ease of maintenance and durability.

Starex was looking for a material for a new range of table and bench seats for external use that could stand up to the elements. After researching some options, Futurewood was approached for a potential solution.

As this project was outside the usual scope of standard Futurewood product applications, all profiles were trialled and the 75 x 15mm Slate Grey Enviroslat was selected.

The Futurewood Enviroslat profile proved ideal for the application with the boards fitting perfectly into their powder-coated frames.

Futurewood Enviroslat carries a 10-year warranty which covers colour fastness, splitting and splintering. Enviroslat remains dimensionally true and easy to clean with no painting or staining required.

Just another reason to use Futurewood on upcoming building projects.
