INEX Decking by IBS is a unique Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) material — an advanced high strength, durable, low carbon concrete developed by UBIQ containing up to 60% of post-industrial recycled materials.

No speciality tools or fixings are required to install INEX Decking, which can be cut like any other comparable fibre cement product and can be fixed to joists just as if it were timber. It comes in a 2700 x 140 x 19mm size with each length weighing approximately 9kg, making it easy and safe to handle and install.

Its unique textured surface allows for complete flexibility of finishes; from an authentic natural timber appearance to many other staining and painting options. If a real natural timber appearance is desired then this can be readily achieved, without the ongoing maintenance issues of natural timber — plus it will not warp or rot over time.

Importantly, INEX Decking has been tested and is deemed non-combustible and approved for use in Australia in all Bush Fire Prone Zones. So it is now possible to have that 'timber deck' in the bush again.
