IBS RigidRAP is designed as a rigid sheathing system that can be used as both a rigid air barrier and a bracing element, depending on the specific design and installation method.
Rigid air barrier and bracing element in one
IBS RigidRAP is an 8mm OSB3 (Oriented Strand Board) panel laminated with an approved building paper, manufactured for use in residential and light commercial timber-framed buildings, subject to design and specification requirements.
When installed on the outer face of framing, IBS RigidRAP forms part of the external wall assembly, providing benefits as a rigid air barrier and bracing element.
When used as a rigid air barrier, IBS RigidRAP:
- Acts as a barrier to air pressure and water infiltration into the building envelope
- Provides temporary weather protection (for up to 90 days during construction)

- Bracing capacity varies depending on system configuration and fixings

Under this certification:
