Natural concrete blocks treated with Dulux acrylic glaze form the back walls of the spaces. The house is buried 3 sides in the ground and varied ceiling heights and planes were required to meet site build restrictions and give the illusion of space.
The clients wanted to highlight the shapes, the extensive sea views and their contemporary art collection. Each bedroom has its own colour to compliment the artwork style displayed.
When the house was repainted last year in the new colours the clients were tempted to go 'white' in the more 'gallery' style of small homes, however the love of colour won the day.
