Description

Designed to conceal roller blinds or curtain tracks within the ceiling space, the recess flush box standard range includes both single and double box options and is suitable for manual and/or motorised controlled blinds. Blinds retract into a removable bottom cover, leaving only a small slit visible.

The modular system is made from extruded and folded aluminium sheets, allowing for quick installation and a seamless finish for residential or commercial window furnishings.

Each recess box profile is supplied in 4.2m lengths, with sizing selection starting from 125mm width x 120mm height. In addition to the range of standard size recess boxes, non-standard sized modular recess box sizes can also be supplied when construction/design limitations exist.

Finishing options include:

  • Mill/Raw finish
  • Standard Powder Coated (SPC) black or white
  • Custom Powder Coated (CPC)
Key Features
  • A removable bottom cover leaves only a small slit visible into which the roller blind retracts
  • Shortened or lengthened, and custom sizes can be supplied to suit construction/design constraints
  • Option for a 'Part Recess' Box (single and double)
  • Option for LED strip lighting to be fitted inside the recess flush box
  • Range of finish options
  • Options for aluminium end caps: flangeless (standard) or flanged
  • Options for sides: flangeless for negative detail, or flanged to provide a tidy cover of the ceiling GIB/plasterboard edge

Scope of Use

The recess flush box is designed for interior and exterior spaces, and is intended to conceal single or double manual and/or motorised controlled roller blinds, curtain tracks and headings.

  • 4.2m length as standard, sizes from 125mm wide x 120mm height
  • Part recess boxes and non-standard sizes can be supplied
  • Bottom recess cover can be connected either at the front or the back internal edge of the recess box
  • The sides of the recess flush box can be either flangeless for negative detail or flanged to provide a tidy cover of the ceiling gib/plaster edge
  • LED lighting options
  • Finish options available
Limitations on Use
  • Single roller blinds: maximum blind drop is 3500mm
  • Double roller blinds: maximum blind drop is 2800mm

Installation of recess flush box is done by the main building contractor/client or builder. Installation of roller blinds and curtain tracks, along with the recess box bottom cover is completed by Window Treatments NZ Ltd.
