Palladio Awning
Description

Palladio is a medium to heavy‑duty, cassetted folding arm awning designed for external sun shading to terraces, balconies, shops and restaurants. The aluminium cassette design protects the fabric and inner tube. Palladio comes in widths up to 7.0m and projections up to 3.6m, with an adjustable pitch.

Palladio can be operated manually or motorised using a range of Somfy motors and controls, with optional sun, wind and rain sensors. Available in a choice of colours and a range of fabrics options.

  • Can be installed directly onto the wall or under the eave; flexible roof/rafter mount brackets available
  • Extruded aluminium arms and profiles, 70mm galvanised steel roller tube, marine grade (316) stainless steel bolts/screws, stainless steel chain, powder-coated removable steel crank handle
  • Finished in standard colours Perla, Bronze or Gun Metal for external parts; special colours available on selected parts
  • Range of fabrics options including sunscreen and blockout; and optional valance

Scope of Use
  • Designed for sun shading of terraces, balconies, kiosks, shops and restaurants.
  • Maximum width 7.0m; projections 2.1m, 2.6m, 3.1m, or 3.6m.
  • Pitch adjustable from 5° to 50° (manual adjustment only). 
  • Options for manual operation, motorisation, remote control and sensors

Size & Installation:

  • Maximum width 7.0m; projections 2.1m, 2.6m, 3.1m, or 3.6m.
  • Installation: can be installed directly onto the wall or under the eave; flexible roof/rafter mount brackets available. 
  • Minimum recommended fixing heights to top of awning: 2.3m (2.1m projection, non-overlap) increasing to 2.5m (3.6m projection); with overlapping arms: 2.56m (2.1m projection) up to 3.3m (3.6m projection). 
  • Non-overlapping arms: minimum widths — 2.6m (2.1m projection), 3.1m (2.6m projection), 3.6m (3.1m projection), 4.1m (3.6m projection), with bracket counts as specified. 
  • Overlapping arms: minimum widths — 1.7m (2.1m projection), 2.2m (2.6m projection), 2.7m (3.1m projection); overlapping arms not available for 3.6m projection. 
  • Dimensions of hardware: Top Fix depth 240mm/height 226mm; Face Fix depth 225mm/height 205mm (with hood); Rafter Fix depth 350mm/height 406mm. 

Operation:

  • Manual operation via hand crank:
    • Crank handles available in 1m, 1.5m, 1.8m, or 2.2m to suit the location requirements for manual operation 
  • Optional motorisation:
    • Range of motor options depending on awning size
    • Controls via either hard wired or remote control (handheld or wall mounted)
    • Optional sensors for sun, wind, and rain
Limitations on Use
  • Maximum wind suitability is 35 km/h.
  • Not designed as a rain shelter; retract the awning when rain is imminent.
  • Pitch can only be adjusted manually. 
  • Overlapping arms are not available for 3.6m projection.
  • Respect minimum widths and bracket counts by projection as specified.
  • Observe minimum recommended fixing heights by projection and arm configuration.
  • Motors must be installed by a registered electrician.

  • Marine grade (316) stainless steel fasteners used in assembly; wall fittings galvanised. Aluminium cassette protects fabric and inner tube from the elements.
  • Fabric options include colours and fabrics with UV and light fastness protection.

Warranty & Maintenance:

  • 3 year warranty.
  • Coastal maintenance recommendation: wash components and rails with fresh water 3–4 times per year.
