Description

Aquacomb is a modular water tank system used for both detention and re-use of rainwater, installed under any ground surface or building foundation. The polyethylene tanks can be used for potable water storage, and are 100% recyclable.

Individual tanks (Aquacomb pods) are configured to form a water storage system. Pods are available in both 250L and 350L sizes, and can create any size of system required from 250L to over 100,000L. The AquaPit traps sediment at the entry/exit point of the system.

Scope of Use

Aquacomb should be used to temporarily store rainwater for the purposes of detention or retention, or rainwater harvesting.
It can be installed within a concrete foundation, under the ground under a lawn or driveway or patio or pathway, or on the ground under an elevated house or deck area.
Scalable to project size; from single dwellings to large-scale developments — townhouses, apartments, and commercial buildings.

Limitations on Use

Leaf diverters must be installed on downpipes entering the system
Aquacomb should not be used for storage of hot water or chemicals.
Tanks should not be cut to allow other pipes or fixings to penetrate through tanks.

Aquacomb:

The leaf diverter is cleaned after large rainfall
The AquaPit is is regularly cleaned to prevent build up of debris
If debris enters the tanks, the first tank in the series has 15mm of dead space at its bottom. This will catch any debris before they enter other tanks. The tank can be cleaned out with a wet vacuum suitable for cleaning water tanks.
