The Technokolla external cladding and waterproofing system enables direct adhesive fixing of natural stone to a wide range of stable vertical substrates including cast-in-place concrete, precast panels, concrete block (masonry), rendered brick, fibre cement board, and cementitious screeds. It is suitable for use on reinforced structural façades and engineered substrates designed to support the weight and movement of adhered stone cladding. The system is compatible with both new construction and retrofit applications where the substrate has been appropriately prepared and primed in accordance with installation guidelines.

It combines a complete suite of Technokolla-certified components including waterproofing membranes, tile adhesives, primers, grouts, and weatherproof joint sealants.

Designed for long-term performance in NZ's diverse climate, this solution delivers a durable, weather-resistant façade system ideal for exterior stone wall applications in residential and commercial construction.

Core System Components

Techno Primer 101:

• An adhesion promoting primer for C2 class cement based adhesives on non absorbent substrates such as glazed ceramic tiles, polished porcelain, stone, PVC and linoleum. Can also be diluted 1:1 with water for use on absorbent or semi absorbent substrates including concrete, cement screeds, gypsum, plasterboard, anhydrite, wood and chipboard prior to applying adhesives, plasters or cement based self levelling compounds.

Techno Primer T:

• A synthetic resin based primer formulated for preparing very absorbent cement based screeds and plasters. Ensures optimal adhesive bond strength and even surface porosity before tiling or coating.

Techno Gap:

• A thixotropic, fibre reinforced technical levelling mortar for indoor and outdoor substrate preparation in layers 3–20 mm thick. Ready for covering after 24–48 hours depending on thickness and site conditions.

Techno Monokronos:

• A pre mixed, quick drying, controlled shrinkage screed mortar for indoor and outdoor use in layers 30–60 mm thick. Classified CT‑C25‑F5 to EN 13813, ideal for creating stable screeds prior to tiling.

Techno Repair (Epoxy Resin):

• A two component, pourable epoxy resin for filling and sealing cracks. Acts as an adhesion promoter for cement based skim coats and self levelling mortars on smooth, dense substrates. Non shrink formulation.

Techno Rasolastik Advance:

• A highly flexible, two component cementitious waterproofing membrane for external use including terraces, balconies and swimming pools. Class II membrane with crack bridging of approximately 1.35 mm. Complies with AS 4858 and holds BRANZ Appraisal No. 541 (E2B2).

Techno Rasolastik EVO:

• A single component, fibre reinforced cement based waterproofing and concrete protection mortar. Suitable for swimming pools, basins, tanks, reservoirs, canals and potable water contact. Resists hydrostatic pressure and complies with EN 1504‑9 for concrete protection. Holds BRANZ Appraisal No. 541 (E2B2).

Techno RL80 Bond Breaker:

• A two part corner and joint sealing band comprising non woven polypropylene fabric over a butyl rubber self adhesive tape. Used for waterproofing corners, junctions and penetrations in systems with Rasolastik membranes. Supplied in 80 mm x 15 m rolls.

Techno Fibreglass Mesh:

• An alkali resistant fibreglass mesh with woven roving structure and macromolecule latex coating for added strength and durability. Supplied in 1 m x 50 m rolls for reinforcing membrane applications.

Techno S One:

• A C2TE S1 class deformable cement based adhesive for tiles and natural stone up to 10 mm thick. Suitable for facades, heated screeds, swimming pools and industrial floors. Meets ISO 13007 and EN 12004.

Techno Star:

• A C2TE S1 class deformable cement based adhesive for tiles and natural stone up to 15 mm thick. Especially suited for large format porcelain and stone. Meets ISO 13007 and EN 12004.

Techno TC Lastic:

• A synthetic rubber based elasticising additive for cement based adhesives and mortars. Increases flexibility to C2S2 classification and improves adhesion to challenging substrates.

Technocolors:

• A cement based polymer modified grout for joints 1–8 mm wide. Fine finish and colour rich, incorporating a micro shield system to resist mould, bacteria and staining. Available in 30 colours.

Techno Skycolors Evolution:

• A two component epoxy grout and adhesive for joints 1–15 mm wide. Smooth finish, available in 19 colours, with high chemical and water resistance for hygienic and wet area applications.

Maxisil N:

• A non staining neutral cure silicone for expansion joints in natural stone such as marble and granite. Mildew resistant and available in 24 colours.
