FleeceCote™ is suitable for use as part of a pitched long-run metal roofing system in commercial and non-residential buildings where control of condensation beneath the roof is required. It is typically used in industrial, commercial, agricultural and utility buildings with enclosed or semi‑enclosed roof spaces.

The product is suitable for mild to moderate corrosion environments, corresponding to ISO 9223:2012 corrosion categories C1–C3, when installed on ColorCote® ZinaCore™ or MagnaFlow™ roofing substrates. FleeceCote™ is intended for use in typical New Zealand wind and seismic zones where metal roofing systems are commonly specified and detailed in accordance with NZ standards and industry practice.

FleeceCote™ performs best in roof assemblies that incorporate appropriate roof pitch, detailing, and ventilation to support moisture dissipation in accordance with New Zealand Building Code requirements.

FleeceCote™ must be specified, installed, and maintained in accordance with ColorCote® technical literature, installation guidelines, and current warranty terms and conditions. Installation must be undertaken by a ColorCote®‑accredited installer to ensure correct system installation and to maintain warranty eligibility.

The product is limited to use within the conditions, applications, and environmental parameters outlined in the relevant Product Information Sheets. Compatibility with other building elements, materials, and systems is dependent on appropriate roof design, detailing, and construction.

Performance of FleeceCote™ is reliant on suitable roof pitch and adequate ventilation in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code, to allow the fleece layer to dry and perform as intended. FleeceCote™ is not intended to be used outside its stated scope or relied upon for purposes not expressly identified in ColorCote® documentation.

When specified, installed, and maintained in accordance with ColorCote® technical documentation, ColorCote® roofing products incorporating FleeceCote™ are designed to contribute to compliance with the following performance requirements of the New Zealand Building Code:

• B2 Durability: Roofing elements meet the durability performance requirements when used within the stated environmental conditions and exposure zones.
• C3 Fire: Achieves a Group 1‑S surface spread of flame classification when tested to ISO 5660:2002.
• E2 External Moisture: Meets NZS 2295:2017 when tested to AS/NZS 4201.6:1994 for the management of moisture associated with condensation beneath metal roofing.
• F2 Hazardous Building Materials: Manufactured from materials that do not present a hazard to occupants.
