Acoustic and performance strategy

Amore’s approach utilises remote or externalised motors (EX-Drive) to decouple noise and vibration from the cooking zone, thus preserving acoustic comfort in adjacent living areas. The motor options include 900 EX-Drive, 1600 EX-Drive and 3200 EX-Drive variants, allowing designers to scale extraction capacity to suit cooking loads and ducting constraints. All Ex-Drive motors are made in Germany and come with a 10-year warranty while all hoods have a 5-year warranty.

By selecting the appropriate motor and ensuring adequate duct path design (minimising bends, using straight, insulated ducting), Amore’s rangehoods can deliver high airflows with low sound levels, making them suited for high-end residential and hospitality applications.

Aesthetic integration

• Wall-mount models provide a strong visual presence above cooktops, offering statement form without exposing the motor housing.  
• Under-mount models conceal the unit upper body within cabinetry, leaving only a minimal profile below — ideal for streamlined modern design.  
• Island-mount variants cater to open-plan kitchens, becoming a central architectural feature above island cooktops.  

These configurations give flexibility to designers wishing to align functional requirements with aesthetic goals.

Specification considerations

• Motor sizing should respond to cooking intensity, ceiling heights, duct length and pressure losses.
• Acoustic ratings should be assessed in context (i.e. in-duct, at-face).
• Coordination with architects and MEP engineers is needed to allocate space for remote motors, vibration isolators, and duct conduits.
• Consider maintenance access and filter replacement paths in the design phase.
