Soft-Matt HPL Takes Centre Stage in Award-Winning Vanity

A once awkward sunroom and hallway cupboard space has been transformed into this gorgeous, trendsetting ensuite, despite the constraints of a tight budget for first home renovators.

Designer Melanie John from Cube Dentro designed a custom-made vanity using Prime Laminate Soft-Matt in Foxy as the hero surface on the vanity front and Prime Stone in Statuario Venato in a leather finish for the top. These are complemented with mid-toned grey and white finger tiles throughout the bathroom.

The pastel hues and pop of colour contrast beautifully with the black fixtures and added curves for an element of fun. It wowed the judges at the 2020 NKBA Excellence in Design Awards, taking home the CDS Bathroom Design Award 2020.

Prime Panel's Soft-Matt HPL collection is anti-fingerprint and super soft to the touch, making it an ideal choice for vertical and horizontal cabinetry and furniture. It’s easy to care for, hygienic and will stand the test of time.

Not only that, Prime Laminate pressed HPL panels are now Environmental Choice NZ accredited. This means it can count towards valuable points to achieve Homestar or Green Star ratings.

Products carrying the ECNZ tick provide confidence that they are sustainably sourced, are low formaldehyde, do not contain harmful ingredients and are made with consideration for the environment in terms of energy and waste management.

Along with the ECNZ tick, Prime Panel’s Pressed HPL Panel range is a more affordable and less wasteful way of using laminate for cabinetry, wall panelling, doors and furniture as the 2440 x 1220mm sheets don’t need to be cut down from larger benchtop sheets.

Six gorgeous Soft-Matt anti-fingerprint colours form part of this range which has more than 30 designs including woodgrains and marbles, so spaces can be stylish and sustainable.
