Prime Melamine is a tough, pre-finished, low-pressure laminate panel. With a comprehensive colour range and a selection of surface finishes and substrate options, Prime Melamine is the ideal choice for a multitude of interior applications.

  • Available in four finishes: velvet, embossed, woodgrain and wilderness and the newly introduced Timberland.
  • No additional surface finishing required
  • Available on three different substrates: MDF, Particle Board or MDF FR (flame retardant MDF)
  • MDF and Particle Board available in standard or moisture-resistant options

Limitations on Use
  • Prime Melamine is for interior use only
  • Prime Melamine should not be used in high-wear situations such as kitchen bench tops, high-use shop counters, bar tops or restaurant tables
  • Do not use Prime Melamine in areas exposed to high moisture and humidity levels, or areas in regular contact with water
  • Any exposed substrate must be sealed before service
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • On standard MDF or plywood performance assessment is in accordance with NZBC Verification Method C/VM2 Appendix A - classification Group 3
  • On MDF FR Melamine meets Group 1-S
Other Performance Attributes

Prime Melamine on Moisture Resistant MDF is rated 'EO' and emits less formaldehyde than Natural Radiata Pine and incorporates formaldehyde-free adhesive, making it the ideal solution for interior applications working towards an environmental rating.
