Strandfloor and Strandsarking Now CodeMark Certified

Strandfloor and Strandsarking are high density reconstituted wood panels manufactured from strands of radiata pine which are randomly layered to form a panel with an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Each individual strand of Strandfloor and Strandsarking is treated prior to bonding, resulting in a full penetration treatment removing the requirement for retreating cut edges during the installation process.

Strandfloor and Strandsarking are both CodeMark certified and BRANZ appraised. Strandfloor and Strandsarking are declared as Red List free in the Declare Product Database, as well as being manufactured in New Zealand at an FSC certified plant.

Strandfloor

StrandfloorH3.1 allows a 12-week exposure period and meets the NZ3602 requirements for timber floors in wet areas, where previously only plywood was approved for use. Strandfloor is conveniently available in both a tongue and groove and square edge panel.

Strandsarking

Strandsarking is the ideal substrate for membrane and asphalt shingle roofs, it can be used down to a roof pitch of 2 degrees and be exposed for eight weeks. Strandsarking is available in a convenient 3600 x 800mm sheet that makes the board easier to pass up between the trusses. The extra length spans an extra truss reducing the double fixing at sheet ends. Strandsarking is double sided which results in a faster, easier installation and can be laid in any direction resulting in less wastage.
