Specifying storage hardware is rarely just about capacity. Architects and designers are increasingly asked to deliver clean, minimal cabinetry lines and premium operation without sacrificing performance, and it's the joiner in the factory or the builder on site who has to make that specification work in practice. Enko Group's Slimbox Soft Close Drawer System has been engineered to satisfy both briefs at once.
At the core of the Enko Slimbox drawer system is a 14mm twin-walled epoxy-coated steel side profile, one of the slimmer drawer sides available to the New Zealand market. The mechanism sits largely out of view, supporting a minimalist internal aesthetic while freeing up genuine internal drawer width in kitchens, wardrobes, vanities and entertainment units alike.
Slimbox pairs this slim profile with a synchronised runner and extended soft-close action, so drawers close smoothly and consistently over years of daily use — the kind of solid, premium feel and use characteristics that the premium joinery market requires. That durability is backed by a wide base platform, thicker-gauge steel and a 40kg full-extension rating, independently CATAS certified and covered by product warranty, giving specifiers a documented basis for their selection.
The Enko Slimbox drawer range spans 270–550mm depths, three heights (90mm, 130mm, 180mm) and optional rectangular gallery rails, so a single system can be specified consistently across an entire project, from bathroom vanities through to kitchen drawers and wardrobe areas.
On site, installation is simplified further: quick-release clips and a no-milling drawer base mean fewer complications for the joiner and the installer, while Slimbox's availability within most common CAD CNC software programmes supports accurate documentation and a precise fit from drawing to install, with fewer return site visits. Each Enko Slimbox drawer set ships complete in one box, straightforward for ordering and inventory management in factory.
For fit-outs requiring a more tailored result, Slimbox is supported by an accessory range including stainless steel trays, magnetic dividers and bottle dividers, allowing internal configurations to be adapted to the client's storage needs. The system's inner drawer front option also enables stackable pantry configurations, while oil and spice pullouts can be created using two Slimbox drawers positioned one above the other. These configurations demonstrate the versatility of the Slimbox system across a range of specialised kitchen storage applications.
Slimbox is available in White, Black and Anthracite Grey. Full specifications for Enko Group's Slimbox Soft Close Drawer System are available at enko.nz.
