Introducing Cosentino in 2021

Cosentino is a global leader in state-of-the-art architectural surfaces. Its collection of innovative products provides infinite design possibilities and inspiration for architects, designers and renovators who value aesthetics and performance. Anticipating the wants and needs of the market, Cosentino continuously expands its range of Dekton, Silestone, Sensa and Natural Stone surfaces for residential, commercial and hospitality environments.

Cosentino Group is a global, family-owned company that began in the 1940s, processing marble from in the Spanish province of Almeria. In the late 1970s, Cosentino expanded internationally and it is now the market leader in producing and distributing innovative surface materials for architecture and design.

“Cosentino is committed to sustainability, innovation and collaboration, and focused on customer satisfaction," says Con Papadakis, Cosentino’s Regional Director in Australia. "Globally and locally, we partner with architects, designers and customers to develop solutions that offer value and inspiration to people’s lives, and that look and perform beyond expectation.”

Commitment to sustainability

Sustainability has been a long-standing focus for Cosentino and is an area of even greater emphasis and investment in 2021. As an environmentally conscious company, Cosentino is committed to developing products such as HybriQ+ technology and Dekton Carbon Neutral that are more natural, more sustainable and have less environmental impact.

The result of more than three years of intense research and development, HybriQ+ technology is an innovative evolution of Silestone. The new manufacturing process uses 100% renewable energy and 98% recycled water and reflects Cosentino’s commitment to a circular economy of production. This technology also provides greater safety in the workplace, both in the manufacturing and handling of the product.

Boosting Cosentino’s sustainability credentials further, Dekton is now officially a carbon neutral product, achieved for the entire life cycle of the product. This optimisation of production processes and techniques has resulted in a 7% reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, with the remainder being offset through investment in GHG emission reduction projects certified by the United Nations.

Preferred architectural surfaces

Cosentino’s extensive collection of Dekton, Silestone, Sensa and Natural Stone are the preferred architectural surfaces for architects and designers in Australia. The innovative products provide exceptional quality, design and performance for residential and commercial projects, backed up by superior service and accessibility. Its architectural surfaces perform beyond expectations, bringing aesthetics, functionality and technical performance to the world’s most beautiful residential, commercial and hospitality environments.
