Description

The Mapei swimming pool installation system is for the installation of ceramic and porcelain tiles to a concrete swimming pool structure. From the preparation of the concrete, application of the tanking membrane to the installation and grouting of the tiles this Mapei swimming pool installation system covers all products required to ensure a robust and long-term solution for the application of tiles in a concrete swimming pool.

Products include crack and concrete repair products, a two-component cementitious tanking membrane to ensure the water tightness of the pools structure, polymer modified cementitious and epoxy tile adhesive systems and rapid setting polymer modified cementitious and epoxy grouts as well as acetic cure sealants for all expansion joints. Systems also available for fast -track installations using rapid set tile adhesives.

Products to repair cracks in the structure to create a monolithic substrate for the application of levelling products and membranes
Rapid setting concrete repair products fast-track preparation of the substrate
Rapid setting screed systems , including pre-mixed screed products for levelling concrete floors from 10mm to 100mm
Primers for porous and impervious substrates to ensure excellent bonding of the installation system
A two-component cementitious based tanking membrane to ensure the water tightness for the concrete structure
Waterproof tapes with elongation of over 300% to treat all changes in plane and ensure the concrete structure stays watertight at critical points of stress in the installation
Waterproof tapes specifically designed to treat construction joints and make sure they remain leak free
Polymer modified cement-based tile adhesives to provide excellent bonding of the tiles and long-term durability for the installation system.
Polymer modified rapid-set cement-based tile adhesives for when the pool needs to be filled in a short period of time and provide excellent bonding of the tiles and long-term durability for the installation system.
Epoxy tile adhesives where specialised installations are required such as glass tiles or mesh-backed porcelain products are used
Polymer modified cementitious grouts that don’t require additives and do not produce efflorescence. Available in a wide range of colours
Epoxy grouts for areas where a more robust grout is required, in areas of heavy use such as the pool entry, around handrails and where water sports equipment is placed into to the pool. Available in a wide range of colours
Acetic Cure sealants which are 100% silicone providing a robust seal for all expansion joints. Available in a wide range of colours

Limitations on Use
