Description

The Vauth-Sagel ESSENTIO® VS Gate Rack and VS Gate Flex are vertical hanging storage units designed for mounting onto internal cabinet doors, cabinet side walls, or direct wall surfaces in residential joinery applications.

Manufactured in Germany, the systems feature ultra-slim 70mm high formed sheet steel trays with a monochrome powder-coated finish and integrated non-slip matting. The range utilises a smart slot shelving system, enabling trays to be inserted into concealed mounting slots on the frame front and freely re-positioned in 64mm increments. Available in White and Lava Grey finishes across two height options, the system requires a minimum internal depth clearance of 145mm.

The system is offered in five pre-configured set options across the Gate Rack and Gate Flex ranges:

VS Gate Rack Depot 2: Configured with two slim formed sheet steel trays.
VS Gate Rack Depot 3: Configured with two slim formed sheet steel trays.
VS Gate Flex Free 2: Includes one tray and a retention frame to hold taller items in place.
VS Gate Flex Hook 3: Includes two trays and a dedicated hook panel.
VS Gate Flex Cook 3: Includes two trays, one retention frame for taller items, and an integrated roll holder for paper towels or baking paper.

Scope of Use

Vauth-Sagel kitchen storage products are suitable for residential use throughout the home; kitchens, pantries, sculleries. They also have applications in laundries, home offices, and garages.
Suitable as a standalone storage solution mounted directly to internal cabinet door backs, interior cabinet sidewalls, or vertical wall surfaces. Space Requirements:
Requires a minimum internal cabinet depth clearance of 145mm.
Cross-Product Compatibility: Fully compatible with modular VS ADD® Box and VS ADD® Separator inserts.

Limitations on Use

Maximum load capacity must not exceed 5kg per basket, with a total maximum system weight capacity of 20kg.
Not suitable for installation in enclosures or behind doors with an available depth clearance of less than 145m.

Suitable for residential use, taking into account the following:

Recommended maximum cabinet widths, depths and heights.
Be familiar with the load capacity of the unit and do not exceed it.
To avoid base panel sagging, sufficient support for the cabinet base is required directly under the mechanism runner. Warranty depends on adequate support being installed with the pantry.

When opening and closing unit or when putting items into it, do not apply strong downward force as this may damage the runners.
Do not use caustic cleaners on any part of the unit. Some dishwasher powders and laundry powders are particularly caustic, as are dry salt, salt water and any citrus juice. If they spill onto or into the unit, remove the powder promptly with a vacuum cleaner, soft brush or damp cloth taking care to re-wipe the surface clean after rinsing cloth free of substance and ensure it is dried well.

In-Service History

FIT first brought Vauth-Sagel kitchen storage products to the New Zealand market in 2013. The ESSENTIO® style, including the VS Gate Rack and VS Gate Flex hanging units, was launched in 2026.

Warranty

FIT warrants the original purchaser of products against manufacturing defects for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. This warranty applies to all non-electrical products sold by FIT in New Zealand and Australia.

The warranty covers replacements for faulty goods only. Replacements will be supplied to the original purchaser only. If the identical item is no longer available, FIT will replace with the closest item from their current product selection. The warranty does not include any labour or other associated expense that may be involved in removal or installation of the product. The warranty does not apply if products have been incorrectly installed, have been subjected to loads in excess of specifications and/or have been subjected to uses/purposes for which they are not expressly intended. FIT’s liability is limited to the goods themselves and does not cover any consequential or incidental damages contributed to or resulting from the use, installation, performance or failure of products.

In New Zealand this warranty is additional to the conditions and guarantees of the Consumers Guarantee Act (1993).
