Compac Panels PanelLam, if designed, used, installed, and maintained in accordance with the conditions of Compac Panels' technical documents, will comply with, or contribute to compliance with, the following performance provisions of the NZ Building Code:

• Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1(c) 5 years.
• E3 Internal Moisture: E3.3.5
• Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1.

• The MDF substrate used in PanelLam has been tested to NZBC VM2 / C/VM2 and achieved a Fire Classification Group Number 3 rating. Additionally, the HPL surface laminate complies with standard BS EN 438-3.
• New Zealand made MDF substrates meets ultra-low formaldehyde emission criteria — E0 (< 0.5 mg/L). 
• Wood fibres are harvested from FSC-certified New Zealand radiata pine forests and processed through FSC/PEFC accredited timber mills.
• Non-Toxic Lamination: Factory lamination uses eco-friendly European paper laminates without harsh toxic chemicals or rainforest-derived timber products.
• Renewable Energy Manufacturing: Produced in a facility running on 100% electricity sourced from New Zealand's grid (82% renewable).
• Waste Minimisation: Cardboard packaging is processed via local recycling, and wood offcuts/waste are diverted to agricultural composting.

Warranty & Maintenance

• Supported by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty against material defect or faulty workmanship when specified and installed in accordance with technical recommendations.
• Clean with a warm, damp microfibre cloth and wipe dry immediately. Mild household surface cleaner or dishwashing liquid can be used for persistent marks.
• Do not clean with abrasive powders, bleach, scouring pads, sandpaper, or harsh solvent thinners as these will permanently damage the surface and void the warranty.
